HOW TO ENTER THE SITA AWARDS

Before you start

You will need the name and contact details of the person or organisation being nominated, and about twenty minutes. You will also need to email us one thing that shows the work is real. A photograph, a link or a document is enough, and it can follow after you submit.

What you will be asked

Which award you are entering. Who is being nominated. A short title for the work. Then three questions of roughly 250 words each. Then two or three declarations depending on the category, and a tick confirming you will email us something showing the work is real.

Supporting material

Everything you send us comes by email, to nominations@cut2black.co.za, Put the award category and the name of the person or organisation you nominated in the subject line, so we can match it to your entry. One item showing the work is real is required. Beyond that, anything backing up what you have written will strengthen your entry: a link, a page you have already written, a short note from somebody who benefited.

Nothing further is required. Once we have the one required item, your entry is complete and is judged in full.

Nominating somebody else

Most entries are nominations rather than self-entries. An assistant, a colleague or an industry body may complete the form on somebody’s behalf. You will be asked to confirm that you have told the person you are nominating them, and to give your own name and email address so that we can come back to you with a question if we need to.

After you submit

You will receive a copy of your entry by email, together with the subject line to use when writing to us. If your entry does not meet the requirements for the category you have chosen, we will tell you in writing and say which requirement was not met. Shortlisted entries may be asked to confirm what they declared.
