Digital Woman Award
This award recognises a woman whose work has changed what other people are able to do in digital environments.
What this award recognises
Recognises a woman who is a role model and is shaping digitisation through leadership, creativity, entrepreneurship, social focus or innovation.
Who may enter
South African women active in a digital or digitally enabled environment, in any sector.
What this award looks for
Substance, reach, and something that continues after she steps back.
How entries are judged in this category
- C1, the work. What she has built, led or changed.
- C2, the difference it made. Who is better off because of her.
- Leadership and legacy. Whether she is a genuine role model, and whether what she built will outlast her own involvement.
The three questions
- What did they do?
- What changed as a result?
- How is she a role model to others, and what will carry on after she steps back?
If you have any of these, they will strengthen your entry
- A short biography or CV. Examples of what she has built or led.
- How many people she has reached. A letter or quote from someone she helped, with their permission.
- Programmes she started that are still running. People she trained who have taken the work forward.
One item proving the work is real is required. Email it to nominations@cut2black.co.za, with the award category and the name of the person or organisation you nominated in the subject line, at any time before 17:00 on 28 August 2026. Anything further on this list is welcome but not required.
